The Vice Chancellor of Delta State University, Abraka, Prof Samuel Ogheneovo Asagba, has been commended for a wonderful step in guiding the Governing Council of the premier University to restore allowances for lecturers on sabbatical leave.
This move comes in response to demands from the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU-DELSU), and it is heartwarming to announce that the Governing Council has approved the restoration of allowances for academic staff on sabbatical leave with immediate effect.
The Council’s restoration of the allowances for academic staff on sabbatical leave aligns with Asagba’s commitment to prioritizing staff welfare.
